I include complimentary engagement sessions in all my wedding packages because they are an essential part of the process when it comes to getting to know you and setting expectations. I place great importance on being acquainted with my couples because I genuinely love connecting with people, but it also helps the couple relax and be more authentic in front of the camera. It is a perfect trial run to learn how the two of you interact and how we will work together on your wedding day; it helps set expectations for what is to come. You know the saying practice makes perfect? Well photos are no different. It is unlikely you would feel super confident going into your first dance without any practice (and if you do, I love your confidence and we should be friends) so why wing it for your wedding photos? You will feel much more comfortable and relaxed on the day if you know what is coming and working with a photographer you know. It is so important to love the vendors you are working with as they can have a big impact on your day

The other benefits of engagement photos are they can be used in so many places. Most people do not have many professional photos of themselves as a couple, so this is the perfect opportunity to show off your new fancy photos. Use your photos on your engagement announcement, or on the invitation for your engagement party. Include them on your wedding website or make one your Facebook profile photo. Print them out and display cute pictures of the two of you around your wedding or hang a picture of you two in your home. Getting engaged is such an exciting time in your life and it deserves to be documented. 

And fun fact, this is just the practice round so no pressure, you literally cannot mess this up!
