Josh and Dale are a wonderful couple from Charlotte, North Carolina. With a Dave Matthews concert as their reason for being in Boston, Josh, who had lived here previously, seized the opportunity to create a truly memorable experience and planned a heartwarming surprise proposal to his boyfriend of six months. Josh’s favorite part of Boston had always been the Boston Seaport area and wanted to use the breathtaking view of the Boston skyline as a clean and modern backdrop for his unforgettable proposal. Under the guise of dinner and sightseeing Josh brought Dale to Fan Pier Park. Little did Dale know that this evening would be etched into their memories forever. As they strolled through the park, capturing joyful selfies and engaging in lively conversations, I positioned myself at a distance, concealing my true purpose. The anticipation in the air was palpable, and the love shared between them was evident in every glance and smile.
Finally, the time had come. Josh led Dale closer to the spot we had chosen as onlookers passed by, oblivious to the momentous occasion about to unfold and Josh gracefully sank to one knee. The world seemed to stand still as he professed his love for Dale, expressing his desire to spend the rest of their lives together and Dale’s face transitioned from surprise to joy. It was a yes!
After a quiet moment alone, I approached the couple and got to meet Dale who was in a word, a hoot. He was incredibly bubbly, kind, and happy telling anyone who would listen that he just got engaged! And people who were pure strangers could not have been happier for the newly engaged couple, which just goes to show love is love and everyone feels blessed to be in it’s presence for there is nothing more up lifting.
It was truly an honor to capture and be part of this significant occasion and I could not be happier for these two love birds as they embark on their journey to becoming husband and husband.
