There are certain wedding days where it feels like the universe is working behind the scenes, orchestrating every moment with precision and care (along with the talented vendor team). Haley and Jeremy’s wedding at Sunset Hill House was one of those magical days—a day where destiny seemed to have its hand in every detail.
As a wedding photographer, I always prepare for everything. I come armed with backup plans for weather shifts, timelines that flex gracefully, and an eye for both the grand moments and the smallest details. But there’s something extraordinary about a wedding where everything—against all odds—falls perfectly into place.
From our very first conversation, it was clear that Haley was a bride who valued intentionality. Everything in the wedding had meaning behind it, from the necklace that was a gift from her grandmother to the perfume and cologne she and Jeremy picked out on a date together. Haley’s eye for detail is impeccable, and we wanted to document everything from the hand-illustrated wedding invitations to her stunning wedding dress. Haley wore a breathtaking gown from the Carol Hannah’s Upcycle Collection—a designer I absolutely adore for her ability to blend artistry with timeless elegance. The dress featured delicate embroidered florals that added the perfect romantic touch, like a garden in full bloom stitched into fabric. It suited Haley beautifully and felt like an extension of her graceful, detail-oriented spirit. Carol Hannah’s gowns always have that magical balance of sophistication and whimsy, and this one was no exception.
The morning of Haley and Jeremy’s wedding dawned with rain tapping steadily against the windowpanes. The mist hung low over the majestic mountains of New Hampshire, casting an ethereal beauty over Sunset Hill House While the scenery was still breathtaking, rain inevitably brings a touch of uncertainty to any wedding day.
But, as always, we had a rain plan. Whether the ceremony needed to move under the charming covered porch or into the classic New England reception space, every scenario was accounted for. And yet, sometimes nature has its own plan. As we moved closer to their first look and the most meaningful portraits, the rain softened… and then—almost as if on cue—it stopped entirely.
The clouds revealed soft, diffused light that every photographer dreams about. The mountains emerged from the mist like a watercolor painting. The air was fresh, cool, and filled with the kind of hopeful energy that only comes after rain. It truly felt like destiny was on their side.
The ceremony was as heartfelt as it was beautiful. Haley’s uncle had the honor of officiating, bringing words of warmth and great sentiment. There’s something so special about having someone who knows you—not just as a couple but as family—stand by your side to guide you into this next chapter. He struck a perfect balance between wisdom and just the right amount of humor.
When Haley and Jeremy exchanged vows, there wasn’t a dry eye in sight. Happy tears flowed freely—from the couple themselves, their parents, close friends, and guests who were truly honored to witness such a sincere expression of love. As a photographer, these are the moments I live for—the touching of hands as rings are exchanged, the stolen glances, the love shining through the eyes of two people who are meant to be together.
Haley and Jeremy really made their wedding their own through table numbers that featured pictures of them growing up to jokes on cocktail napkins, but one of the most beautiful aspects of this wedding at Sunset Hill House was how much of Haley and Jeremy’s community was woven into the day. Their wedding cake wasn’t just any cake—it was lovingly crafted by one of Haley and Jeremy’s dear friends. It was not only stunning but delicious, made even sweeter by the fact that it was created by someone who knows them so well.
And perhaps one of my favorite personal touches? Besides the fact that the bridesmaids’ dresses were giving Jane Austen vibes, Haley made sure to include her beloved cat in the wedding photos. This wasn’t just a quick snapshot—this was a moment filled with genuine joy. As someone who deeply understands that my couples’ families often extend to their four-legged companions, this moment perfectly embodied how important it is for me to honor every facet of their lives.
At its heart, this wedding was about more than just two people coming together. It was about the joining of families, the honoring of friendships, and the celebration of the bonds that make life so rich. From the emotional first look to the joyful laughter during toasts and the quiet tenderness shared during couples portraits, every moment reflected a love that is deeply rooted in connection.
As the evening drew to a close, with the mountains bathed in the soft glow of sunset, there was a palpable sense that everything had unfolded exactly as it was meant to. The rain, the tears, the laughter—it all told a story of a day destined to be perfect in its own beautiful way.
From the very beginning, Haley and Jeremy had a vision for their wedding that was equal parts timeless, romantic, and heartfelt and I worked closely with them to bring that vision to life. Haley and Jeremy were drawn to my photography not only because of the dreamy, artistic storytelling style, but also because of my intentional approach—Whether it was guiding them into natural poses that still felt like “them,” keeping the timeline flowing seamlessly, or simply offering a calm presence during moments of high emotion. I am always there to serve as both artist and guide, ensuring the every meaningful moment is captured flawlessly. Haley & Jeremy trusted me to help execute their vision, and that trust allowed the day to unfold with so much ease and enjoyment. They were truly a joy to work with. Together we created a space where Haley and Jeremy could be fully present—with each other, their loved ones.
Seeing their true love for each other, along with their reaction to their gallery, reminded me exactly why I do what I do. Thank you Haley & Jeremy for entrusting me with your vision and your day.
